The original Dark Blades were Barbarians, naturally adept in Black Magic. Modern Dark Blades, while more refined, keep the tradition of mastering heavy blades and Necromancy. Dark Blades often maintain an uneasy relationship with the outside world, but are championed during times of need and war.

Commentary:
Dark Blades are vicious in combat, embracing their Barbarian roots. Most often they rush an enemy with their heavy blade, with their Necromancer side as backup if they need it.
Other than Death Spells, most of the Dark Blade’s spells are common among other disciplines; yet most would say that there is something different about the way they cast them. The Necromancer style of casting is somehow more chilling to witness.
The Mage Gauntlet that many Dark Blades use is useful outside of Combat, when a weapon does not need to be empowered.
As the Dark Blade rises in level, they will want to boost their Empowerment Points, so they can wield both a powerful weapon and upgrade to more protective armour.
